• Planning and Development of the CAIF at Vigyanpuri: Committee will ensure that all CAIF category instruments and facilities are successfully installed and commissioned at Vigyanpuri campus in a phase-wise manner.
• Oversight of the CAIF operations: The committee will oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring that equipment is properly maintained, and ensuring that the facility is available for use by researchers as needed following the rules developed for such usage.
• Maintenance and Upgrades: The committee will ensure that all equipment in the facility is well-maintained.
• Budget and resource allocation: The committee will develop and manage the facility’s budget. The committee will also strategies the procurement for new instruments and facilities with approval of the Competent Authority.
